Hello everyone

Today I’ll be talking about another way you can make money online. It’s called pay per install (ppi). The way it works is, the company pays you a small fee for every time their product is installed through your link. They pay based on the countries that it’s being installed in. One of the popular ones are wave revenue. You can check them out here. www.waverevenue.com

Good Luck

Importance of web hosting

I’m sure many of you want to make money online and become successful, and one of the crucial things you must have is a domain name and web hosting. Not only your customers depend on your site to be there but also the engine crawlers. Having a fast, reliable and supportive host is VERY important.

If the site loads to low, or has frequent time out errors crawlers will just close your site and move on (there very busy). Same goes with human visitors, nobody has time for your slow site because you don’t have sufficient bandwidth or your host is hosting way to many sites on one single server. Many of the hosts today, over sell meaning, they don’t nearly have enough resources to host the sites there hosting. As a result, they tend to overpopulate their servers with to many sites and your site ends up suffering, and has to compete with hundreds of other sites hosted on the single server, and the host does not and cannot allocate sufficient resources to your sites.

I have been with several hosts and have never been really satisfied. Some were overpriced, some offered poor support and others just had a slow network with a poor control panel. I’m personally with An hosting, they offer tremendous amount of value for your money, and offer space and bandwidth that you can never fully use up. They have A grade support (24/7) and backed by a 30 day money back guarantee. I don’t know of any other host that can deliver this. Below are the features

  • 500GB Web Hosting Disk Space
  • 5000GB Bandwidth
  • Host up to 20 Domain Names
  • Unlimited MySQL dbs
  • I highly suggest you try them out, here is the link www.anhosting.com.

    Bringing Crawlers to your site

    Friday, November 14, 2008 0:22

    Hello friends

As promised here is the article which picks up where the last one left off. Bringing search engines to your site (aka crawlers, bots) to your site isn’t all that hard, however you can’t always be sure that they’ll visit you when you submit your site to the search engine. But there are things you can do to encourage crawling. Here is few of the most effective ways

    • Build a site map: Now either you can use a script, or a software to do this. Here is an online one http://www.xml-sitemaps.com. After you do this, upload the sitemap.xml to your main directory and tell Google where it is, I highly recommend sign up for their service at http://www.google.com/webmasters (its free), once you sign up you can submit your site map for faster indexing
    • Set up a RSS feed: Now the fastest way of doing this is setting up a blog, which comes with the ability to  provide a RSS feed automatically i.e. wordpress. IF you have a website, I suggest you read this excellent article on how you can do it www.wilsonweb.com/wmt8/rss_feeds.htm.
    • Ping various sites: Also another advantage of blogs is that when you update your blog, the system automatically pings various sites, and tells their bots to visit because you have updated your blog. Again if you don’t have a blog, you can use this site www.pingomatic.com to ping. Just a note, don’t go nuts using this, if you do it way to many times and you didn’t update your site, they will eventually block your sites because they see it as spamming!

Just a side note, make sure everything you have on your site articles, files are unique and not copied. Search engines have a duplicate content filter, and will not index your sites if they have copied content. Hope that helps. In the next topic, ill be talking about hosting your actual website and advise you how to choose a right and reliable host, so that you have complete control over your site.

    See ya

    How to Optimize You Sites

    Wednesday, November 12, 2008 23:08
Posted in category SEO, Web Design

    Hello all you happy people,

This is the follow up post, from the last post in which I talked about what back links are and how it affects your page rank. However, if you are just brand new and starting out and don’t have a lot of back links, you can always optimize your sites, so that your site is as relevant to your topic as possible. This can be done by placing a <h1> tags, around the main topic or title of your site and and try to include or repeat as many keywords as possible.

So if your site is about credit cards, in your articles bring up types of credit cards, debt management, visa, MasterCard, fraud protection. As you can see why a keyword rich and informational website would be beneficial to people and also search engines. People learn from your site, and search engines see that this article is really useful and very informational to people so they index it for more people to see.

When choosing a domain name, try to include the keywords in your domain name. Also keep it short i.e. don’t do this allyoueverwantedtoknowaboutcreditcards.com. Not only will you never get indexed, the people who do visit your site will never remember your site’s name, and probably think it’s spam from just the domain name. Why do you think yahoo, google, amazon are famous? For one, their domain names are short and simple so they stick.

Lastly, if you allready have webhosting, you can optimize your file placement. So lets say you have a file called article.html. Put the file close to the directory as you can. In other words don’t do this (where / represents your root directory) /folder1/folder2/folder3/article.html. instead do this /articles/article.html. This is much more crawler friendly when creating a site map, or when spiders are crawling your sites.

Now this begs the question, how do you bring search engines come knocking at your door? Well search engines have something called spiders aka crawlers, bots etc. So really search engines send crawlers to thier site, and send it back to to the main site to be indexed.

In the next article, I’ll explain how to bring crawlers to your site, and things you can do to help your site get indexed i.e. site map rss.

    Bye for now

    Submitting sites to directories

    Wednesday, November 12, 2008 3:32

    Hi everyone,

Today I`ll be talking about back links and how it affects page rank. Now, different search engines have different algorithms that are extremely complex and different search engines rank sites differently.

However, one of the common ways that search engines rank sites is by seeing how many back links a site has. In other words, by seeing how many sites link back to you . So if a site that links back to you is high page rank i.e PR 5 or higher. Then you will get indexed fairly quickly.

A PageRank is just a way of determining, the site`s popularity i.e Google PageRank is 10, and stumble upon is 8. So you can see why having a link exchange is beneficial, and submitting to directories and social network is important.

So just google, online directory submitter and start submitting your sites (don`t spam). In the next articles, i`ll write a little bit about, how to optimize sites for being indexed quickly.

    See ya.
